Children’s Garden of Farmington provides an engaging naturescape playground for active outdoor play and recreation, games and sports, and to support children’s environmental respect and enjoyment through gardening and animal care.
Teachers carefully construct environments for learning, both indoors and outside, in which children have ample opportunity to initiate their own activities and interact with peers. Teachers support children as they learn and refine language and social skills, and positive ways of negotiation. Teachers facilitate the development of interpersonal relations, encourage the exploration of new and old materials, and support thoughtful, creative, decision-making while expanding opportunities for individual and cooperative play
